EUREKA SOCIAL COOPERATIVE

INVESTMENT IN THE QUALITY OF LIFE

The Eureka Social Cooperative (non profit) was set up in Milan in 1993 with the aim of providing local government organisations and businesses with a range of family-friendly services and benefits. We aim to anticipate possible problems, promote wellbeing and reconciliate the time dedicated to the family and to work.

Eureka was founded by three businesswomen who were all expecting their first child, who were therefore well aware of the conflicting pressures which families face in today’s hectic world. Over the years, Eureka has been able to offer an increasing range of services to its clients and for the community as a whole: family nurseries, local government and business nurseries, inter-generational play and care centres aimed at meeting a range of needs, social and community centres of various types, information centres as well as general crisis support and management: and these are only some of the institutional and business-type solutions offered by Eureka. The cooperative provides a series of integrated and flexible services, which are specifically planned in order to increase the quality of life enjoyed by both individuals and companies, at saving time and boosting the opportunities available for all involved, whilst balancing economic and family needs.

With a staff of over 80 people, Eureka is an ideal partner for institutions and businesses who wish to invest in the wellbeing of their employees and citizens as well as create more congenial living and working environments.

Eureka is an innovative ethical organisation whose solid reputation has been built up over time thanks to the high-quality of its services, the professionalism of its managers and its constant up-to-the-minute research into innovation in these areas in Italy and Europe.

The Scientific Commission of Eureka coordinates links with universities and researchers through ‘Groups of territorial quality’ which have set up reliable feedback systems to evaluate the satisfaction of all those (the whole range of stakeholders) involved in individual projects.

Eureka promotes social responsibility amongst the businesses it works with and for, which means that it can guarantee high educational and informational quality as well as creating a balance between the various needs of those benefiting from projects - as well as highly reliable systems of organisation and management.

Both clients and employees of the Eureka Social Cooperative benefit from directed social benefits and personally crafted programmes which balance the use of time and individual and group requirements through our creative management of human resources.

Winner in 2004 of the price Germoglio d’Oro, given from Bellisario Foundation to the best young enterprice of the year, Eureka is now part of a select group of the thirty best italian businesses run by women, after being chosen in the Women at the Wheel competition by the National Agency for Promotion, Business and Training.

The Eureka Social Cooperative is the first social business from the Lombard region of Italy to gain a quality certificate for its planning and realisation of social and education services. (UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000).
